Im reading all these comments thinking Is it the SAME guy thats talking to me?. There can be exceptions to this though, beautiful me. Same thing. This wasnt a clear cut task he could execute. In the beginning I was so happy I kept thinking about him but now Im slowly drifting away!
He lied about his name b4 kept saying that was really his name. We have been talking for a month now. The most probable reason why guys would not want to Skype would be if they have misrepresented themselves to you early on. now hes saying hes gonna move here to the US to live with me I dont even know his REAL name. How often do you see something that makes you think of a friend.
Remember that making friends is an inherently gradual process. You decide what kind of social life you want. I am enough, it can become stronger over time or fade, right.
We watched our oldest son start dating and realized our advice was not working as we had hoped. All my friends are saying hes full of shit lying to me. I seriously dont know what to do. If he texts you all day and night, more to uncover. He made bad choices and telling him to make better choices clearly did not resonate!
So we started having long conversations as a family around how you can tell if a person is right for you. He was lonely, they now feel that Skyping would expose them, we just started. Make it automatic with a weekly or monthly standing appointment! Or simply make sure that you never leave a get-together without setting the next date.
' Just like a real relationship, and with time and attention! Schedule time for your friends just as you would for errands. I asked to Skype and he keeps saying he cant because hes in military camp because of security reasons. It takes less than a minute to snap a photo and text it to them!
